Registered with the Private Career Training Institutions
Agency of British Columbia (PCTIA), Vancouver
Institute of Business and Technology ("VIBT")
was established in 1990's to fill the need
of training new immigrants who were seeking
work in Vancouver. The courses offered were
in the technology and accounting areas. An
ESL component was added to capture the students
who lacked sufficient English expertise to
enter the business and technology related
programs. |
| Since the inception of VIBT, close attention has been
paid to the business and technology trends in international environment
as well as local community. A variety of certificates and diplomas
in computerized accounting, business communications and administrations
as well as other applied programs were directed towards a clientele
of new immigrants as well as international and local students. |
| Being a quality educational institution, VIBT has provided
students with a friendly environment where students enjoy their learning
and get prepared for academic success. Many of our international students
who have successfully completed the advanced level of the ESL program
are attending North American universities. |
| In 2003, VIBT entered into an agreement with Oklahoma
City University ("OCU") to administer their MBA program
in Vancouver. This program has been very successful growing with each
intake. |
| In response to market demand, VIBT also developed a
well-designed TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) program
for students who are interested in traveling while getting paid worldwide
by teaching English. This program was very successful, and all the
students found employment either locally or overseas. |
| Programs are continuously under revision to keep them
current and meet the needs of marketplace. |
